[sheepdog-users] Is it possible to recover from .stale objects?

Hi, 

as stated before, I was able to corrupt my cluster in a un-useable state. Now I saw that there where a lot of info in the .stale directory. It seems to take as much data as there was in my test setup. Is it possible to recover from this .stale info?
