[sheepdog-users] Why is dog vdi create -P so fast?

Hi, I wonder how it's possible that creating a preallocated vdi is so fast.

time dog vdi create -P test 10G
real    0m9.336s
user    0m0.272s
sys     0m0.440s

I thought the object were sparse file but 'ls -lh' and 'du -h' are showing
the same size!
