[sheepdog-users] How to restore inc backups?

Hello,

i created a backup as desc. in

http://www.sheepdog-project.org/doc/snapshot.html#backup

so I now have

sun-full.img
sun-mon.file
mon-due.file
due-wed.file
wed-thu.file
thu-fri.file
fri-sat.file

I'm currently unable to restore the files to a new vdi. I tried

qemu-img convert ...
dog vdi restore -s Sun <vdi> < sun-mon.img
dog vdi restore -s Sun <vdi> < mon-due.file
dog vdi restore -s Sun <vdi> < due-wed.img
...
dog vdi restore -s Sun <vdi> < fri-sat.img

as desc in http://www.sheepdog-project.org/doc/snapshot.html#restore

but as soon as I start a vm, it's data seems to be in the state of
"sun-full.img"

Any hints?
