Hi JD Wilson, Not sure why would you run Sheepdog on Amazon EC2. I might be wrong on my assumptions but Sheepdog is distributed storage for QEMU/Linux-KVM and therefore only works to run Virtual Machines Disk Images. Given Amazon EC2 are already VMs running on the top of Xen wouldn’t be logical to run QEMU/Linux-KVM inside them. Are you trying to use it just for learning/testing or are you looking to get something more like GlusterFS and have a partition mounted ? Have been a sheepdog mailing list subscriber since November of last year. I am always watching to see if someone has deployed Sheepdog on Amazon EC2; and lived to tell about it ;-) It seems possible it was in there somewhere and I missed it. May I trouble for guidance for Sheepdog on Amazon EC2; perhaps a best practices, or list of steps, or a how to cookbook. Thank you in advance for the group's time and attention if this is posted. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
