I am running latest sheepdog, but I think sheepdog version is irrelevant. The
only difference is how I started the VM, I did it as following:

yliu at ubuntu-precise:~/sheepdog$ qemu-system-x86_64 -drive file=sheepdog:test,if=virtio,format=qcow2,cache=writeback --enable-kvm -m 1024 -cdrom ../isos/ubuntu-12.04.2-desktop-amd64.iso
