I think a sample command should be as simple as possible.  I'd suggest:

  $ qemu -drive file=sheepdog:wheezy

How about the following command?

  $ qemu -drive file=sheepdog:windows7 -cdrom /tmp/windows7.iso

I think we don't need a root privilege. '#' should be replaced with '$'.

looks simpler and enough.
