[sheepdog] [PATCH stable-0.8 0/2] update for correct startup recovery

This update contains a bugfix for recovery process at startup.

This update contains a manual modification. If a maintainer agrees or
no one disagrees in 2 days, it will be pushed to stable-0.8.
