Well, I haven't answered yet because I wasn't subscribed to the list
when you sent the message. I have now subscribed.
Wpkg does nothing other than run command lines. It does not integrate
with the Windows Add/Remove thing at all. However, adding such a feature
is a good idea.
In fact, there is a way to make wpkg consider a package already
installed if a certain registry key exists. Altering it to so that it
considers a package NOT installed if the key DOESN'T exist would let you
do this. Each entry in the Add/Remove box is represented by a key. If
it's gone, the program was removed.
One of my long term goals with Wpkg is to rewrite it in a language more
suitable for doing these things. RIght now it's just a simple
JavaScript. I'd like it to run as a full fledged service, using APIs and
stuff to monitor packages.... C#.
