is there a special option how to do this? here is what i did:
- configured network share, with install directory (%SOFTWARE%) and
configured wpkg .xml files
- made a firefox 2.0 package, which works when i test it locally on my
own machine, running wpkg.js in a commandshell started as administrator
- here's the problem: the firefox setup pop ups a dialog box asking you
if it's ok to close your currently running firefox ("Yes"/"No"), before
it can upgrade
i *know* i can avoid this by writing a script checking for and closing
running firefox.exe instances (i have such a script), but that's not the
point - i used this as a test to see what would happen with gui
installers in general
so, when i run wpkg.js remotely, as a scheduled task on my machine run
by the domain administrator, it doesn't display the gui install popup,
asking me to close firefox. i'm logged in as a normal user - not
administrator.
is there anything i can do to make that work, or will it just never work
with gui installers?
chrs,
tomc.
