Well this is a desired behavior. A new version of a package might have
different uninstall commands. So they might not work for the installed package.
However there is a change within the upcoming wpkg-redesign (see Bug 79) which
has an upgrade-before-remove feature. This means that each package is upgraded
to its latest version before a remove is attempted. This allows a system
administrator to prepare a new package with correct uninstall strings which is
applied before uninstall takes place.
I am setting this to fixed. Please verify and report problems with the new
algorithm accordingly.
