[wpkg-users] question about profile xml

there is a web utility for creating the xml files (wpkg web) and it allows
for the inclusion of download directives in the package xml file. How does
the download function work on the client?

what I'm hoping for is that the first WPKG client sees the download file is
not in the saveto location (shared location) then downloads it that spot.
Subsequent clients then see it's already been downloaded and don't download
it again. Then i would assume the locally referenced file can be used for
deployment somehow.

Is this how it works?
