http://bugzilla.wpkg.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122 Summary: New type of execute="" Product: WPKG Version: 1.1.x-M Platform: PC OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: wpkg.js AssignedTo: mangoo at wpkg.org ReportedBy: jens.geile at mzbs.de QAContact: wpkg-users at lists.wpkg.org Hi, I've got yet another great idea and feature request which would make WPKG even more awesome. ;) I have a cleanup package which cleans the all users startmenu of empty folders and the useless default windows shortcuts. The problem here is that it can take up to a minute to perform all tasks which causes the logon delay window (set to 2 minutes) to be display for quite some time preventing the users to log in. The package is set to 'execute="always"' since it should clean the all users start menu everytime something might have changed ... but in 99% of the time nothing did change and the cleanup script isnt really needed. I'd like to see a new type of "execute" for when WPKG installed/updated/uninstalled software. Packages with with 'execute="changed"' would only be executed in case WPKG took action. Packages with 'execute="always"' should not be taken into consideration here because they'd render the whole feature useless ...
