http://bugzilla.wpkg.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120 --- Comment #2 from Jens Geile <jens.geile at mzbs.de> 2008-05-15 17:23:31 --- The really cool part about the debian version compare system is that I can even use the full alphanumerical range for my version number. For VLC I could even use "0.8.6f-0" which would be newer than "0.8.6e-1" which again would be newer than "0.8.6e-0". Currently I'm using "0.8.6.6" for "0.8.6f" or "0.8.6.5" for "0.8.6e" but this isn't ideal if you ask me. I'm really looking forward to this. But to support my initial claims here are a few lines from the logfile: 1. case: OpenOffice was not installed on the client, revision on server 2.4.0 45. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Going to install package 'OpenOffice 2' (openoffice), Revision 2.4.0, (execute flag is '', notify flag is 'false'). 46. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Package 'OpenOffice 2' (openoffice): Not yet processed during this session. 47. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Package 'OpenOffice 2' (openoffice): Not in local package database. 48. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Checking existence of package: OpenOffice 2 49. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : The path 'C:\Programme\OpenOffice.org 2.4\Program\soffice.exe' does not exist: the test failed 50. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Result of logical 'AND' check is false 51. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Reading variables from package 52. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Reading variables from package OpenOffice 2 53. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Stored 0 variables from package 54. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Reading variables from profile[s] 55. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Getting profiles which apply to this node. 56. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : 1 profiles apply to this host. 57. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Reading variables from profile Test-Profil 58. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Reading variables from host Test-Rechner2 59. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Install type: install 60. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Fetched 3 install command(s). 61. 2008-05-15 17:07:38, DEBUG : Executing command : cmd /c start /wait msiexec /qn /i "%SOFTWARE_ISERV%\openoffice\openofficeorg24.msi" /norestart SELECT_WORD=1 SELECT_EXCEL=1 SELECT_POWERPOINT=1 ADDLOCAL=ALL 62. 2008-05-15 17:08:14, DEBUG : Command in installation of OpenOffice 2 returned exit code [0].
