Wpkg supports doted revision numbers since Version 1.0, as Rainer Meier

But it seems there are revision numbers supported with 2 dots, not with 3:
2.4.0.1 is recognised as 2.4.0 as was tested here:
http://bugzilla.wpkg.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120#c2
But I'd anyway use revision numbers without dots, too.
