Sorry for very late response. I have to admit that I did not verify the
logEvent() method and the documentation does not indicate that it cannot handle
null values. However I believe that you might be right and included your fix in
latest WPKG 1.1.0 release:

In any case this pre-conversion from null to "null" string should not create
any problems.
