(send me private mails without problems) I just managed to run WPKG on Windows ME which should behave similar to Windows 98. I run WPKG on Windows Script version 5.6 (latest for Win 9x). I could reproduce the error you got. WPKG prints it when it tries to match the host entries to IP adresses. However there is no negative effect on the rest of WPKG. So the only drawback on Windows 98 is that you cannot match IP Adresses. I did not yet find an easy way to obtain the IP-address from a Windows 9x/Me system by reading the registry. So I would say for the moment you have to live with the limitation that IP-match does not work on Windows 9x/Me. Host and regular-expression matches work as expected. Please report if on your system something strange happens and WPKG does not work at all (which I was expecting before). br, Rainer |
