[wpkg-users] wpkg over a webserver

Hello,

Is it possible to direct the wpkg-client to use a web server as a store
for wpkg.js and related files rather than a Samba server?

I'd like to run Apache to store the executables that wpkg will
reference, as well as the wpkg.js and related configuration files. This
is not in reference to the web interface: I would like to cut Samba out
of the picture if possible. Naturally, I would want to use SSL and
appropriate .htaccess files on directories to be used by wpkg.

If this is not currently possible, the same end result that I am trying
to achieve may be performed with VPN software, but I would rather not
make things overly complicated. Owners of laptops in my domain tend to
leave laptops at home for long periods of time, and SMB packets are
blocked at the campus gateway. Putting wpkg's store on the web seems to
be the simplest solution to me. Can I add this as a feature request?

Thanks for any thoughts.
Justin
