Ahem, guest user have to exist and correctly configured, i don't know
how you have setup your samba domain, but tipically guest user are
created automatically by samba (or by smbldap-populate if you use
smbldap-tools).

 trinity:~# id guest
 uid=999(guest) gid=514(domguest) gruppi=514(domguest)
 trinity:~# pdbedit -v guest
 Unix username:        guest
 NT username:          guest
 Account Flags:        [DU         ]
 [...]
