yes, it´s possible.
I use the wpkg-profiles in the same way you plan to do.
It works fine!

Hi There, 

Is it possible to add one computer to more than one group?

I would like to set a bunch of software which should be present at all computers.
And there are computeres which need special Software.

So I don't want to copy and paste.
