Hi Tomasz,

yes, you are right batch files are an option, but it's much neater (IMHO) to
keep all the logic consolidated in the actual package file.

I don't quite follow you regarding <remove> and <uninstall>. I currently use
<remove> for uninstalling and what I propose here does not conflict with that
as it is essentially "uninstall before install or upgrade".

Let's say one was to conjure up a patch to do this, would you be reluctant to
include it?
