Hi Daniel,

Great job. I am also in progress of setting up a test environment where I can
use your LDAP extension. I am actually planning to do some verification and
then rather release your version as the next one (perhaps with some
modifications). But this is certainly drifting into direction of an independent
branch and regarding the workforce I think it does not make sense to maintain
to independent versions. So I would like to merge to one branch only.
