Usually, the reason for this type of requirement is that there is some software that insists on this particular version.

You could add a check to your Java package definition that detects whatever software is the issue. That way, it will carry over to any other hosts that has the same software (and thus has the same Java restriction). You could also add a host-name check to the Java package definition, but that seems like a rather ugly way of doing it.

I encountered an issue today with WPKG and am not sure how best to deal with it. I have a desktop profile that includes our standard suite of apps including Java RE. One of our users needs to stay on release 6.0.23. How can I prevent java from updating on that one host without create another profile just for that one workstation?
