Installing software at login is not as good as installing at shutdown 
due to the following reasons:

1) a user is logged on
2) the application can be running
3) exclusive access to the system is not granted

On WinXP and below I used WPKG client at shutdown.
On Vista and above I use a scheduled task to check if a user is logged 
on, if not WPKG is executed and the system is shutdown after that.
