I'm using WPKG on W7... just install the Client and you're fine... by default it'll run as SYSTEM user... you have to make proper packages though so software gets installed "for all users"... but that's about it<br>

Hi - long time since I last posted here (as WPKG just works :) )<br>
I use WPKG in 6 schools but all XP machines.<br>

I'm now trying to use it on Win7 but its a bit of a fight :)<br>

I run WPKG on logon from shortcut in allusers program startup folder.<br>
(All users have administrator rights)<br>

I've created a shortcut to my existing wpkg startup bat file (and altered<br>
advanced properties to run as admin)<br>
<br>
I've disabled UAC so that things like Office 2003 can be installed without a<br>
UAC prompt.<br>
<br>
I'm starting to alter direct references to install.bat files to shortcuts to<br>
them but its going to take some time to get thme all to works (i use a<br>
mixture of msiexec, bat files, vbscripts and straight cmd lines!)<br>
<br>
Is there a magic method to save me a lot of work? :)<br>
