[debian-non-standard] FSG-3 WLAN

Hi there,
I try now for several weeks to get debian running on my Freecom FSG-3 WLAN 
160GB with no success. 
My question is: Has anybody ever managed to install Debian on the WLAN version 
of the FSG-3? 
At the moment I don't know what else I could do as it seems that it does not 
boot from usb stick at all (an 'echo test > /test.txt' in an init script does 
not write anything to the usb stick.
