How long does it take when you run the following?

 $ qemu-img convert /dev/vmvg/web /data/sheep/web.raw

I guess your store directory of Sheepdog is /data/sheep. :)

Anyway, I think we can improve 'qemu-img convert' of Sheepdog much
more.
