oh shoot it all works now. but the strange thing is I have to put
in my password 3 times.

So I do:
svn checkout svn+ssh://mnc@svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/stgt/trunk
mnc at svn.berlios.de's password:
mnc at svn.berlios.de's password:
mnc at svn.berlios.de's password:

and after this 3rd time it works :)
