tgtd does not crash any more, but still, it's not a full solution.

tgtadm will hang after ~43 lun:

+ i=43
+ '[' 43 -ne 1024 ']'
+ tgtadm --lld iscsi --op new --mode logicalunit --tid 7 --lun 43 -b /dev/sda


Also, initiators will be disconnected, will try to connect again etc.
