[wpkg-users] Feature request

Hi,

I'm guessing that this has been asked before, but I figured that I'd ask again - is there any way to add a "skip on error" feature to a future build of WPKG? It would be nice if the synch would jump to the next package if the package that it was trying to install failed for some reason, rather than simply terminating.

Granted, packages should be tested extensively prior to deployment but things happen sometimes - I recently encountered a msi file that got corrupted at some point and caused problems. When it was slated for removal as part of a package upgrade (multiple packages to be added/upgraded after the msi-based package was removed), the synch halted when the msi file could not be removed - problems on Monday :(

Anyway, just a thought - since logging is carried out in the Event Log, troubleshooting can still happen as information on the failed package would be in there.

  My 2 cents - thanks...
