Did you use the WPKG Installer? Then, make an XML file with WPKG 
Installer, and set up a one-time task (execute="once") which will 
perform options update.

If you start from a script, a redirect to something like 
\\server\share\%HOSTNAME%.log should do.

I'm not sure WPKG installer will accept something like that though:
 >> \\server\share\%HOSTNAME%.log

to the flags (well, it will accept, but I don't know if it will work).

As a workaround you could use a "start before", and there, a script 
which starts WPKG, with a redirection.
