It's main advantages are:

- easy way of starting WPKG (wpkg.js) - otherwise, you have to use task 
scheduler, which tend to "forget" passwords after some time, or similar; 
also, Windows 2000 doesn't have a command line schtasks program, which 
means you won't be able to add a scheduled task job for multiple 
computers easily

- ability to use different credentials for the software share (or use 
computer password), different credentials for the user executing tasks etc.

- XP and higher will not reboot the PC from a .js script (unless you add 
special options to config.xml with a non-standard reboot command)

- WPKG Client will prevent your computers from wpkg.js rebooting 
constantly, should you make an error in your packages (i.e. you make a 
broken package which always want to reboot the machine; users are not 
able to log in)
