Hi Tomasz, I got one question.... I was successfully building custom
kernels and Debian via debootstrap in the past, but something has
changed in the project in last half year and I can't build all modules
which I'm selecting in the config.
It doesn't have matter will I go to
"build_dir/linux-brcm47xx/linux-2.6.28.10" and configure my kernel with
"make ARCH=mips menuconfig" or I will do
"make kernel_menuconfig" with custom config stored in
"target/linux/brcm47xx/config-2.6.28" ... as a result I always receive
"build_dir/linux-brcm47xx/linux-2.6.28.10/.config" without some modules
I selected.
It looks like "include/kernel-defaults.mk" is mixing values from main
project's .config with "target/linux/brcm47xx/config-2.6.28" with
prioritization of settings from first file.
Do you know any workaround for this? I was looking on forums and quite
fresh buildroot documentation under http://nbd.name/openwrt.html and
found only this:
"If you want, you can also modify the kernel config for the selected
target system. simply run "make kernel_menuconfig" and the build system
will unpack the kernel sources (if necessary), run menuconfig inside of
the kernel tree, and then copy the kernel config to
target/linux/<platform>/config so that it is preserved over "make clean"
calls." ... but as I mentioned this gives me blended config.
This behaviour confirms following howto:
http://www.debwrt.net/documentation/building-openwrt/
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
