Yes, they override some kernel settings.

To get rid of it, do:

1) Replace target/linux/brcm47xx/config-2.6.30 with 
http://www1.wpkg.org/debian-asus/2.6.30/build/config-2.6.30

2) remove build_dir/linux-brcm47xx/linux-2.6.30/.config-override and 
replace it with a symlink to /dev/null (will prevent ope
nwrt build from replacing certain kernel options):

     ln -s /dev/null .config.override


I'm not sure if step 1 is still needed - it would be nice if you could 
give some feedback on that.
