How much important is to have the clock synchronized on the nodes?

a) Sheepdog will not work
b) Sheepdog may encounter some problems (which one?)
c) It doesn't matter

If we have 3 node with the following date/time:

node1 15:20
node2 15:15
node3 15:25

Node 3 leaves the cluster: which epoch time is going to be recoded
when I look at 'cluster info'?
