I added this foot note:

.. [#] If you don't assign a whole device, sheepdog works anyway, but you may
       encounter problem if some other proccess writes data in the same device.
       E.g. you use a simple sub folder like */home/user/sheep* and
*/home* is the
       mount point of */dev/sdc1*.
       Sheepdog will consider to use all the available free space of
*/dev/sdc1*.
       If "user" wirtes data in its home folder, there will be less space
       available for sheepdog leading to I/O error once there's no more.
