I hope it is just my current use case. But you say the guest shouldn't be running, but why is that important? I tried to mimic a host failure, there was a guest running on 10.10.0.30 while I pulled the plug on 10.10.0.22. There where no guests running on 10.10.0.22 and 10.10.0.21.

I'm currently converting the vdi to copies=3 instead of copies=2:1 and I'll do the same tests.
