It just looks out of place in a directory of things that are otherwise
short, carefully chosen one-word names. If it's not meant to be
user-visible, I'd probably call it .sheepdog or something.
More generally, I'm not a fan of this behaviour change, but can always patch
it out again locally if there's otherwise consensus it's a good thing.
