how did you take live snapshot? There are 2 kind of live snapshots,
1 QEMU savevm, which save both memory and disk states in the sheepdog
2 qemu-img or collie snapshot, save only disk state.

For 2, before you try snapshot the disk state, try 'sync' in the guest because
in this mode, sheepdog only snapshot the disk state. I guess your file 
operations were buffered in the memory before you snapshot the disk.
