I uninstalled the previous version, cleared the log, installed the 1.2RC5, then
did a "net start".

The "Product: WPKG -- Installation completed successfully."  is a result of
installing the service before starting it, naturally.  This is the only message
that appears.

Which part of your advice in #1 did I miss?

I did do a TEST Settings using "administrator" as the user, and it was
successful.  TEST as DOMAIN\administrator also succeeds.

"net start" fails (without writing anything to the log - see #2 for error
message on the command line) using administrator, or DOMAIN\administrator, even
though "TEST" succeeds.
