Please reply using this URL only: http://bugs.wpkg.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50 Summary: Computer Name Variable Product: WPKG installer Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows XP Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: WPKG installer AssignedTo: mangoo at mch.one.pl ReportedBy: leon.hedding at ict.om.org QAContact: wpkg-users at lists.wpkg.org I currently have a vbscript that I use to run wpkg. I would be very much interested in switching and using some of the features that are in the wpkg installer (mainly the encrypted password feature), but there is one limitation that is my stumbling block that I describe below. I currently log the installation status information to a text file on a central server. Each computer has its own log file on the server for sanity purposes. In my vbscript I can specify the environmental variable %COMPUTERNAME% and use this for the log file name. The script variables in the wpkg installer do not appear to work that way. I really do not know what purpose they serve. I do not know if this is bug, feature request or if the script variable feature just needs more documentation. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.wpkg.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact. _______________________________________________ wpkg-users mailing list wpkg-users at lists.wpkg.org http://lists.wpkg.org/mailman/listinfo/wpkg-users |
