http://bugzilla.wpkg.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131 Rainer Meier <r.meier at wpkg.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |r.meier at wpkg.org --- Comment #1 from Rainer Meier <r.meier at wpkg.org> 2008-09-23 20:33:13 --- I cannot give any warranty that this can be implemented easily. Currently WPKG supports only one single version of a unique package (with unique package ID). WPKG defines the package ID to be unique (used as a primary key in several locations). Allowing multiple times the same package within the package definition could cause some problems/confusion as well. - What to do if a profile refers to a package version which does not exist? I suggest logging an inconsitency error and continue operation (unless fatal error where other packages depend on it). I will check the possibility to extend the "primary key" functionality to the package ID AND the package version. So packages could be defined in multiple versions and referred in specific versions within host or profile assignment as proposed. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.wpkg.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug. |
