Indeed you're absolutely right! Shame on me.

Actually I am not using these type of checks very frequently and apparently
I've never used it without an additional uninstall exist check (which could
serve as a work-around for this bug).

I've fixed the problem now. Please try the latest development build:

(version 1.1.2-RC9).

Changes:
FIX: Version checks on uninstall enttries could evaluate "true" in case the
     software is not installed at all.
     Fixes Bug 170. Thanks to Malte Starostik for reporting and discussion.

I've successfully run the full test suite using this version. Maybe somebody
would like to contribute a test-case for this issue ;-)
