This is true only if the package was previously assigned to the host but not if
you never assigned this package to the host.
For example if you have a Firefox package in your packages.xml but did not
assign it to the host yet, then WPKG will not uninstall Firefox from the host if
it has been installed manually.

WPKG will only remove Firefox if Firefox has been added to the host by WPKG -
i.e. if the "Firefox" package is under WPKG control on this host.


Technically spoken this means that WPKG will uninstall only if the package is in
the local wpkg.xml file and now suddenly you remove it from the profile assigned
to the host.
