WPKG log
Hi,
I have just deployed WPKG client to the Windows 2000 (SP4+RollUp1+latest
security patches and most relevant hotfixes) Active Directory domain (in native
mode both forest and the domain) with MSI package. I have 1 testing
workstation, which downloaded and installed WPKG client.
Settings.xml was prepared on dedicated workstation with the WPKG client
installed manually, and exported to settings.xml. The Settings.xml file is
deployed to workstation via Group Policy script, before the WPKG client is even
installed. The share access is set to the machine system account, as well as
WPKG script execution context. Share-level access permissions on the server
allow the system account and the domain computers access, as well as the
file-system permissions.
The WPKG client runs on the Windows XP Pro SP3 workstation. It puts info
into Windows Application Eventlog, as it executes. Its records are the same, as
.log file, which is created on the WPKG client run as per settings. The file
info is attached.
I do know, if wpkg.js is even accessed, parsed and run in the WPKG
client run cycle and context. There are no access failures (auditing is on,
audit ACE are set on all disks for failure) in the Windows Security Eventlog
either on the workstation or the server, where WPKG share is hosted.
For this moment, WPKG client mode does not work and I rely on the Group
Policy script to launch WPKG.bat, which in turn executes WPKG.js, which manages
the packages and their deployment.
Any help would be great, thanks!
