I don't think you gain any speed performance through obfuscating the
source code.
WPKG is not a web helper script it is a fully blown application.
If users complain about having to wait too long a startup of the
machine, use wake-on-LAN to turn the systems on one hour before the
users arrives at his system.
Another way would be to run at shutdown or through a scheduled task with
no user logged on.
