I agree with Rainer.

Not only would it make no real/measurable difference; it could cause some
potential incompatibility, and also error tracking harder.

If anyone wants to compress/minify wpkg.js, feel free to do so, and post your
results here (minifier used, if it works well, and if there is any measurable
difference).
