I've just commited an update (WPKG 1.2.1-RC46) which contains changes allowing
environment variables in host check attributes. Moreover environment variables
are evaluated also during host and profile evaluation.

NEW: Added variable expansion to advanced host match attributes (variable
     expansion already worked for "host" type checks).
     Also WPKG now loads profile and host variables before advanced host
     matching is applied. So host and profile variables can be used within
     check expressions.
     Fixes bug 255. Thanks to Ross Newton.
