I have now verified that my changes to smc.c work with both the SSC
code and the MMC code ... I will post the patches for people to
comment on.

I will also post an example script showing how to set up a VTL ...

However, one more thing that we will probably needs is the ability to
exec a script or something when a tape is removed from a DATA Transfer
Station ...
